A wonderful store of information with over 230 delightful and informative illustrations and plates

It will provide a valuable source of reference material of how fireplaces and chimneys looked and worked, detailed examples of both and lovely photos & illustrations to demonstrate this information.

Condition: Name in ink on 2nd blank sheet. Weathering is minimal. All leaves are still fixed. Inner hinge at back has partial split. Hard cover is worn on all edges and edge splitting away at one corner on front cover. However, fair condition for a book that is over 100 years old.


A truly lovely coffee table book with very absorbing reading and truly lovely pictures to absorb.
