The Principles and Practice of Cardiology (1923, Signed by the Author)

£24.99

Product description

Published in 1942 by Oxford University Press.

Signed by one the authors Crighton Bramwell on the half-title page.

This is a very detailed and complete guide to the subject. The book is divided into two main sections:
- General Cardiology written by Crighton Bramwell
- Special Cardiology written by John T King.

There are numerous photographs and diagrams in the text and there is an extensive and useful index. Of interest both as a serious text book and as an historic record of the foundations of the knowledge on cardiology some 70 years ago.

On the inside front cover is an inscription stuck in place reading: 'With every good wish for June 14th 1944 with all my love darling from Julia'. There is also another signature in the front reading: 'Donald Titcombe'.

Clearly a well used volume there is some rubbing wear and marks on the covers, with bumping to the corners. However the internal pages are in a good clean with a sound binding. A very solid copy.
