The Ropner Fleet 1874-1974

£8.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

A detailed and concise log of the Ropner fleet from 1874 - 1974. This booklet lists in brief the names, details and histories of hips which have sailed under the Ropner houseflag. there is also a section concerning ships which have been managed at various times by Ropner companies.
The purpose of the booklet is to present these facts to the numerous enthusiasts who are interested in them and to stand as a record of the first hundred years of the asoccoation of the name Ropner with the sea trade. A very rough calculation reveals that the fleet, during it's 100 year life, has carried some 250 million tons of cargo ranging from iron ore tor Rolls-Royce cars, and on the liquid side, crude oil to finest Scotch whisky.

Although a little grubby through handling, this booklet is in very good condition.
