The Saturday Review of Politics, Literature, Science, and Art Volume 25

£34.99

Product description

"The Saturday Review" was a London-based newspaper published between 1855 and 1938, and this is an annual from 1858. It is a half-leather binding with marbled boards and gilt lettering and bands on the spine. Its edges are also all stained with a red colouration. Condition: the boards are in poor condition in general; they are damaged by heavy tearing, marking, corner-bumping, and rubbing. They have also become slightly loose. The book's edges are in fair condition at best, as they are affected by some moderate marking and shelf-wear. The interior pages are on the whole good, as they are generally crisp and clean (although there is some occasional marking and staining), and all the text appears to be legible. The binding is fairly strong throughout most of the book.
