The Spectator: Volume II

£24.99

Product description

There is severe shelf wear to the book as a result of its age. The binding has almost complete come away in the middle of the book and is now loosely held together, so the book must be handled with care. The gold leaf title and decoration on the spine has nearly entirely faded. There is discolouration to all of the book's pages as a result of its age, with some damp damage towards the front as well.

Published in 1744, this book presents a collection of letters written by people during the 18th Century, including the dates of when they were written. Some of the pages include beautiful illustrative decorations, and there is a coat of arms within the front cover, as well as a portrait of a man on the title page. There is a dedication in the front of the book to the Right Honourable Charles Lord Hallifax.
