Three volumes. Used hardbacks in good condition. Without d/js. Black cloth boards with red and gilt decoration. Only minor shelfwear externally - slight bumping to corners, head and tail of spines. All volumes with spotting to edges of text block. Spines of each book slightly cocked but bindings good and tight. All clean internally. Vol I with some heavy spotting at front and back pages. Vol II lightly spotted at beginning and end, but with some pages throughout more heavily marked. Vol II gutter break at p 161 and 257. Vol III some spotting at the rear of the book. Vol III gutter break at p 241. Vol I 381 pages with 6 pages of review of a book by the same author. Vol II 488 pages with 6 additional. Vol III 495 pages (includes an index to this volume) and 6 additional pages.
