Tom's Midnight Garden - First edition

£150.00

Product description

A collectable first edition of this children's classic and Carnegie Medal winner from 1958. Green boards with illustrated dust wrapper. Illustrated by Susan Einzig. In addition to the dust jacket, a different illustration heads each chapter.

Tom is an English boy sent to stay with his uncle in a flat, converted from an old mansion. Unable to sleep, he hears the grandfather clock in the hall strike thirteen one night. Getting up to investigate, he finds he has travelled back in time to the house as it was in the 19th century.

This is a good condition book in poor condition dust wrapper. Book is a little canted. Pages are sunned and there is an inscription on the FEP. Dust jacket is unclipped but is torn in many places and would benefit from protection. Please see photographs.

This book will be sent by courier.
