Travail by Émile Zola (French copy)

£8.99

Product description

Travail (Work) 1901 by Émile Zola is the second book in the french author's series 'Les Quatre Évangiles' (The Four Gospels). The series is a follow up to Les Trois Villes (The Three cities) with the plot built around each son of Pierre and Marie Froment, hero of Lourdes, Rome and Paris.

This is a hardback copy with lovely demi cuir binding. The book has sustained some damage through bending to the front corners, some wear on the spine and discolouration on the hinge between the pastedown and the front free-endpaper however the overall condition can be considered good for its age.
There is small endearing note written in French on the inner page declaring it a souvenir from Paris, 29th of May 1905.
