Cover, in pictorial boards with black titling and illustrations to front, rear and spine by Edward Bawden, is in good condition commensurate with age with clean and bright illustration and titling, some minor edgewear and very thin crease lines along spine. Internally the book is in good condition commensurate with age with tight binding for its age and no tears or significant marks. The text pages and the lovely Edward Bawden colour lithographs are in crisp, clear and clean condition. There is a neat owner inscription on front endpaper, some foxing to front and rear endpapers and very light tanning to text pages and some tanning to page block edges. The Edward Bawden illustrated dustwrapper, which is unclipped (showing price of 10/6 net), is in fair to good condition with some general edgewear / shelfwear , small tears to top and bottom of spine and on back lower corner, some rubbing along spine edges and a couple of one inch splits along front spine edge and some rubbing and creasing along top front edge. Overall a very decent and tight copy of this very attractive book complete with it's unclipped dustjacket and its outstanding full page colour lithographs and jacket and cover illustrations by Edward Bawden.
