Delaunay

£14.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

The works of Robert and Sonia Delaunay celebrate the triumph of colour and this book presents the work of both. They have been described as expressing a "joie de vivre" and a creativity that extend far beyond the bounds of painting. Sonia's extensive body of work in particular linked art and design.
Contains a large number of illustrations and photographs and pages are clean and bright; the contents page is coming loose from the spine glue and some other early pages are loosening at the bottom. The cover has general marks, creasing and indentations, particularly on the front where some writing indentations can be observed; corners and spine ends are rubbed with light surface wear; the white areas on the back are slightly scuffed, with light dust soiling. A former owner's name is written neatly at the top of the first front leaf.
The book should be of particular interest to fans of cubist and abstract painting.
