Product description

Written in Italian, this interesting and modern book gives an historical insight to the significance of carpets and analyses the fundamental impact carpets and weaving techniques have had on our society and culture. Shown through a representation of 101 paintings, 11 carpets with relative scientific sheets and illustrations, Beba Marsano, a renowned Italian historian and art critic, takes the reader through an unusually fascinating journey of the artistic importance of carpets over the centuries from the Middle Ages until now.

Published in 2015 by Moshe Tablinia Editone. By Beba Marsano. The book contains an essay by Monique di Prima and details on the rugs by Tiziana Marchesi.

The book is in a very good condition. There is a scuff on the bottom spine of the cover and a slight rip in the small banner sleeve, but the inside is impeccable.
