Kunsten å Leve (The Art of Living - text in Norwegian) / Jan Vincents Johannessen & Jakob Weidemann

£29.99

Product description

This book has Norwegian text, and is in very good condition. The dust jacket has a 1cm tear at the top of each of the front and back and light edge wear, but is otherwise in very good condition. Internally the pages are in very good condition with little sign of use.

(There is hardly any more pretentious book title than the art of living. For who has such mastery - and to such a degree that they are able to give other people advice? Anyway, we do not. Our best prerequisite for making this book is that we have both made so many mistakes, both in our private and professional life, that we have learned a lot about what should not be done. In addition, over the years, we have met many people with different backgrounds and different life situations. They have taught us a lot and been much more useful to us than we have to them. We have also taken note of all the wise thoughts that are presented in books, lectures and in other ways, of brains better than ours. We hope that the text and images in this book are not perceived as a patent recipe for what to do or not to live a happy life - just as an incentive for those who want to find out where they are and where they want.)
Jakob Weidemann is regarded as one of Norway’s more important artists of post-war Modernism, and Jan Vincents Johannessen is a Norwegian physician, cancer researcher, hospital director, painter, text writer and composer.
