The history of the Chinese dynasties from the Yan to the Ming (roughly 1368 to 1644) is described together with the pottery forms and production methods associated with them. There are more than 240 monochrome illustrations in addition to the pages, and 4 colour plates. This is one of the more significant reference works on important Chinese porcelain.
The boards are clean and the binding is tight. There is some foxing to the front endpaper. The contents are complete and clean.
