Ras Al Khaimah. Pearl of the Emirates (Lookbook)

£4.99

Product description

The overriding emotion that deters most people from travelling to fascinating regions in the world is fear of the unknown, based for the most part on misconceptions. The origins of the Lookbook series began by assembling pictures and words of my travels to interesting but frequently misunderstood countries, in an attempt to dispel these fears and inspire readers to get up and go! This book has a very special meaning for me as it has been commissioned by HH Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasmi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah (pronounced Raz Al Kaymar). A ruler of great compassion and insight, His Highness generously afforded me complete freedom to interpret his country, an honour for which I am both grateful and very proud. I hope that after reading this book people will have a better understanding of the generosity of spirit that is present in His Highness's part of the world and, as a result, feel an urge ti visit this little-known destination but one that truly lives up to the description, the Pearl of the Emirates. In the words of the writer and photographer of this book Faie Davis. Overall in great condition, only sign of any wear is a mark on the back.

Oxfam Bookshop Hexham

We relocated in January 2016 to larger premises and are now able to offer a wider range of books and music (you can come and check out your musical choices in our listening booth and also find out a lot more about Oxfam's work.). We have a new local interest section, more space for history and have extended our craft and arts offer.  We also sell cards, fair trade food and ethical cleaning and beauty products.

Hexham is a market town situated in the beautiful Tyne Valley - the ideal stopping off point before exploring Hadrian's Wall, Chesters, Housesteads and the Temple of Mithras at Carrawburgh.
