The Red River Photography collection Cornwall by Jem Southam, D. M. Thomas, Frank Turk & Jan Ruhrmund

£49.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

Through fields, farms and gardens, down a mine, across moors, bogs and beaches, past a bear, a cage of songbirds and a mysterious pig, the Red River flows - reflecting along its banks the quest of centuries for the rich tin ore that has dominated and shaped the history of Cornwall.

Jem Southam's photographs journey along the river from source to sea. Together with a poem by D. M. Thomas, who was born and brought up in the area, and an essay by Frank Turk and Jan Ruhrmund they evoke the landscape , culture and history of this extraordinary part of Cornwall.

Book is in fair condition due to some bowing of the pages and bumps to corners. The photographs within remain bright and clean.
