Based on a 2011 exhibition at the National Museum of Korea, this book contains over 100 coloured plates charting the history of portraiture in Korea from the 15th century to the early 20th century. The English language text provides information on various aspects of Korean culture and history. There are also two illustrated essays offering an analysis of the technicalities of portraiture in the Joseon dynasty.

There is some wear to the covers and the corners are bumped. However, internally the text and images are clean and bright.
