Beyond our Ken vol.II , four more hilarious episodes from Early/Mid Sixties 2 x tapes

£3.99

Product description

"Beyond our Ken" - the hilarious precursor of "Round the Horne" - was one BBC Radio's most popular comedy shows of the Late 50s to Mid 60s, regularly drawing ten million listeners to its saucy mixture of fun and pun.

It pitted straight man Kenneth Horne against the ubiquitous, multi-voiced talents of Kenneth Williams, Hugh Paddick, Betty Marsden, Bill Pertwee and Jill Day.

Now here they are again : Camp couple Rodney & Charles ; Devoted dodderers Felicity & Ambrose ; the unfortunate splutterer who always made a vocal splash and the old codger whose plaintive cry of "Thirty-Five Years!" became a national catchphrase - in four classic episodes from the Early to Mid 60s, gathered together once more, to prove that nothing was beyond our Ken !

Side One : Transmitted Feb '64.
Side Two : Transmitted Dec '61.

Side Three : Transmitted Dec '63.
Side Four : Transmitted Dec '63.
