A Taste of the Good Life [Signed by Both Authors]

£24.99

Product description

Published in 1995 by Pavilion Books

An anthology compiled by Richard Briers and his wife Anne. It is a celebration of the best that food, wine and good fellowship have to offer - from barbecues to fine wines, by way of breakfast, conversation, mangoes, Queen Victoria and washing up. The book features many of the world's finest writers: Anthony Trollope describes the railway sandwich of a century ago; Dr Johnson writes on the secret of domestic happiness; and Francis Kilvert explains the lesser-known benefits of brandy.

A charming book with amusing illustrations.

First edition signed by both the authors on the title page, together with a hand-written dedication on the front end paper, reading: 'Dear Charles and Duse, With love as always. Richard and Ann, Christmas '95'.

Complete with dust jacket which has been price clipped. It is in a very good clean condition throughout with sound binding. Some surface marks on the dust jacket.
