Anecdotes of The Right Honourable W. E. Gladstone by an Oxford Man

£14.99

Product description

A pocket sized volume bound in green cloth with decorations and lettering in red, black and gilt. On the front fixed end paper is a prize label from Laceby Methodist Sunday School dated 1889. The book contains many stories about Gladstone, but the author has stated that he has "discarded everything bearing upon party politics".
There is a little age toning but it is confined to end papers, which have a bark design in beige, and does not particularly affect any text pages. All text is clear on clean pages, there are a few attractive b/w engravings and text block edges remain bright gilt.
