John Cornford

£14.99

Product description

This is a collection of the writings of John Cornford, a great grandson of Charles Darwin and son of a Cambridge don. He had had a stellar undergraduate career at Cambridge where his commitment to Communism flourished and deepened. He volunteered to serve in the Spanish Civil war and was killed there in 1936.

Borderline press paperback, reprint of 1938 edition, with no images, apart from a photo of John Cornford at the front of the book. There is a little focal bleaching of the cover. An address label is appended onto the ffep. There are some pencil annotations to the contents and some underlining on pages 151 - 155 but, as far as can be ascertained, no indelible marks. Binding good, slight bumping to spine top and bottom. Some marks on outer edge of pages and to ffep.
