My 100 Children (First British Edition)

£19.99

Product description

Blue hard-backed book with dust jacket. Some tears and discoloration to the dust jacket. Small white paint mark to top edge of back cover. page edges are browned with age.
Numerous black and white photographs.
Pages clean.

Published 1961 by Souvenir Press.

There were many unsung heroes of World War II, but few were as courageous -or as doggedly persevering - as Lena Kuchler-Silberman, who rescued 100 Jewish children from starvation. She also rescued these orphans from the fears and incredibly horrible memories of a childhood spent in Poland during the German purge of all the Jews. Her remarkable story has the power and drama of The Small Women and The Diary Of Anne Frank.
