Sigmund Freud: His Life In Pictures In Words. First Edition. With bookplate signed by Lucie Freud and Gerda Mosse.

£100.00

Product description

Sigmund Freud: His Life In Pictures In Words. Edited by Ernst Freud, Lucie Freud and Ilse Grubrich-Simitis. With bookplate signed by Lucie Freud and Gerda Mosse, dated Xmas 1978, attached with tape. This book was probably a gift to Doctors John and Elizabeth Holder from Lucie and Gerda.
This book is a record of all aspects of Sigmund Freud's life, from his birth in Moravia to his death, and exile from Nazism, in London. The illustrations have been assembled from the family and private collections, original notes and manuscripts, published works and letters.

This copy is in very good condition for its age. There is some discolouration on the inside cover board. The binding is tight, with slight gapping at the top of the spine, but none at the bottom, and no loose pages. There is some slight fading to the inside pages and page edge. There is a 3cm tear on the front of the dust jacket, but not very obvious. There is also some shelf wear to the top of the dust jacket. There are some scratches on the front and back of the dust jacket.
