Ecolonomie: Entreprendre sans détruire

£12.99

Product description

Translation: "It is more economical to produce in an ecological way." It is from this statement, against the current of the traditional thought, that, for seventeen years, Emmanuel Druon transformed the company Pocheco (Lille) with the help of his one hundred and twenty-two colleagues.
While most companies are encouraged to seek profitability at any price, Emmanuel and his team are betting that taking care of the planet and human beings ensures sustainability in their business. Because, as he says, "We Westerners have exhausted the lithosphere and its fossil, fissile, mining and fishing resources. People are exhausted too. We can still produce and undertake but without destroying. "
Autonomy in water and heating, photovoltaic panels, recycling, reforestation, green roof, phytopurification, insulation, removal of chemicals and pollutants, a global strategy is put in place to gradually minimize the impact of the activity on the biosphere . And the economic results are there. While Pocheco has invested 10 million euros over the last fifteen years to reduce its ecological footprint, it has, at the same time, realized 15 million euros in savings.
This book is the story of this adventure, from its beginning in 1997 until today. With conviction, humor and precision, Emmanuel Druon shows us how this strategy is not only effective but indispensable if we want to continue developing economic and industrial activities in the future.
