Strategic Management in the Third Sector

£19.99

Product description

Drawing on the extensive academic and professional experience of its author, Strategic Management in the Third Sector provides a comprehensive introduction to the strategic development of voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations. Roger Courtney introduces students to the different ways of thinking about a third sector organisation and its external environment, including strategic thinking and analysis, and strategy formulation and implementation. Key Features: 1) Comprehensive case study coverage, focusing on a wide variety of non-profit organisations. 2) Provides genuine insight into the practical implications of managing in the third sector. 3) Identifies a wide range of strategic models and tools that are of value to the development of third sector organisations. 4) Considers the latest developments in social enterprise. 5) Written by a leading expert in the field. Strategic Management in the Third Sector is an essential text for all students of voluntary and third sector management, charity and social enterprise management, voluntary sector studies, charity management and public service management. This 2013 paperback book is in a fair condition. There are some water marks to the front of the paperback cover from where a glass has been placed on it, an old price label on the back of the cover (stating the original price of £39.99) and some dogging to the corners of the cover from how it has been stored and used. The spine is unbroken. On the inside cover page a name has been scribbled out in thick black pen. The 405 pages themselves are clean though there is some dogging to the corners of some of the pages, again from how it has been stored and used, and some small chips to the page block only visible when the book is closed. These issues have been taken into consideration with the price, with secondhand copies of the book starting on AbeBooks at over £28 plus postage and on Amazon at over £38 plus postage.
