The Cat in the Hat (first published in 1957)

The Cat in the Hat Comes Back (1958)
When the Cat in the Hat comes back, Sally and her brother know it’s going to mean trouble. And guess what? They’re right!

Green Eggs and Ham (1960)
Green Eggs and Ham is one of Seuss's "Beginner Books", written in a very simple vocabulary for beginning readers. A character named "Sam-I-am" pesters an unnamed character to try a plate of green eggs and ham.

Dr. Seuss's ABC (1963)
Learning to read is fun with Dr. Seuss. This Classic Collection brings together his zaniest stories, silliest rhymes and craziest drawings for young readers everywhere to enjoy.

Hop on Pop (1963)
This charming book introduces young children to words that rhyme, with classic Dr. Seuss fun!

House, Mouse!
Hop, Pop!
Cup, Pup!
Learning about words that rhyme has never been more fun – simply change the first letter and the whole word changes!

Fox in Socks (1965)
Fox in Socks teaches a baffled Mr. Knox some of the slickest, quickest tongue-twisters in town, and you can read along too – if your tongue can manage it!

Oxfam Shop Ulverston

Ulverston is a traditional market town that attempts to retain a sense of the Dickensian times as typified by the festival run in November. We are a conventional Oxfam shop and sell anything and everything that will be of interest to someone. We have a good reputation as a second hand bookseller and are developing a reputable clothing offer. Our friendly staff are always ready and willing to assist and we are continually on the lookout for more potential recruits. We have a strong focus on Fair Trade and like to run events to spread Oxfam's message and raise extra funds.
