With pictorial cloth boards that feature The Elephant's Child having his nose pulled by the Crocodile, with the Bi-Coloured- Python- Rock- Snake hurrying through the water to help (black & white pictures on dark red cloth, with lettering in white). Illustrated throughout with black and white pictures by the author.

There is wear to the spine with some fading at the top. The cloth board edges are also rubbed. The spine is intact although the inside title page bind is starting to split. The title page has some pencil scribbles on it and there is also some foxing to the page edges and some of the pages. In good condition for its age.
