Mystery at Witchend

£9.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

Mystery at Witchend is the first of twenty books written by Malcolm Saville in the popular 'Lone Pine' series. The story was first printed in 1943 and was later serialised on BBC Children's Hour.
This revised paperback edition was published in 1971 by Armada. It contains a map of the Witchend country drawn by David Morton, but no illustrations.
The book has been well-read, with noticeable wear to all corners and edges; the covers have general creasing and rubbing wear and there is a tear, approx. 1.2 cm, with small loss, at the bottom of the spine. Text block edges are browned, with a few foxing spots, and inside pages are lightly tanned around margins. The half-title leaf is split approx. 7cm at the top, and the rear cover has split from the end paper but is held with stick tape, now browned with age.
The book may be of particular interest to fans of Malcolm Saville and collectors of his Lone Pine series.
