One of the timeless Ladybird Nature books illustrated by C.F.Tunnicliffe, this book is in remarkably fine condition for its age.

There is a small tear to the jacket, approx. 1 cm long, on the top of the rear fold. The title page has a previous owner's name beautifully written in black ink in the top left hand corner. The book dates from 1959 and has the usual 2/6 net price on the dust jacket flap and the open-winged ladybird logo, also blue and white ladybird endpapers and, although there are very slight signs of handling wear, the binding is tight, all text is clear on clean pages and the illustrations remain colourful and most attractive.
