je t'aime! (Dran edition populaire)

£70.00

Product description

Dran comes from graffiti, but this is only a detail, in his work no lettering yet again inspired by the so-called New York school but rather caricature and characters. He is above all an illustrator, a draftsman like old-fashioned, paper and pencils. He has retained graffiti only his culture, his freedom, his bulimia and a representation without concession. He developed a unique, ironic, cynical and slightly depressive black universe.

Published by the very independent House 'edition populaire', his new book, "je t'aime" is in this vein. 30 black and white illustrations of daily love scenes seen through the spectrum of total disillusionment. It's beautiful as a story that ends badly.
