The Girl on Codsend Moor : The Mysterious Disappearance and Death of Molly Phillips [Signed by the Author]

£19.99

Product description

Published in in 2016 by the Blue Shed Press. First edition signed by the author, Matthew Greenwood, on the title page.

A fascinating true life account of the death of Molly Phillips in 1929. She was only 16 when she went missing from the farm where she worked. her body was found some eighteen months later on 'Codsend Moor'. The police concluded that she had died as a result of an accident but the majority of people in the area where convinced she had been murdered. Published in 2016 this is the first full length account of the circumstances surrounding her tragic death.

On one of the hottest days of 1929, sixteen year-old Molly Phillips set out from the Exmoor farm where she worked to visit her great-aunt. She never arrived. Why did the policeman investigating her death endorse an inquest verdict he knew contradicted his own findings? An emotive case that still raises unsettling questions.

In very good clean condition throughout.
