This book was published in 1935 by Blackie and Son Limited of London and Glasgow and has a dust jacket. The boards are red with an impressed decorative floral and boarder design on the front and spine, there is also gold text at the top of the spine. The corners of the boards and top and bottom of the spine have been bumped. There are a couple of white marks on the front and back boards of the book, other then this the boards show little wear from use. The dust jacket has various nicks, rips and small holes around the edges and a what appears to be a ring of damage where a sticker has been removed, this is along with general wear from use. Despite this the dust jacket is still bright and other wise clean. The edges of the pages are slightly discoloured, there is a dedication on the front free end-paper dated 1941 and the webbing is showing between page 64 and 65 . The rest of the pages are bright and clean with no rips tears or folds. The hinge is tight and strong. There are four colour illustrations through out the book by F. Dewar. Mills.
