Publisher: John F Shaw, London, new edition 1904. Hardback, 156 pages plus publishers book lists, illustrated in b&w throughout. No dustjacket. Cover, in grey cloth with green and yellow lettering and daffodils design on the front cover and spine, is in fair to good condition commensurate with age. Some shelfwear and light fading to the cloth binding. Internally the book is in fair to good condition for its age with reasonably firm binding and no tears or creases. Pages are tanned with some foxing to endpapers and frontispiece. Neat pen school prize inscription dated Christmas 1904. Frontispiece and title page are slightly loose and partially detached in the binding and binding starting to separate at page 80 but still firmly held. Contains three medium length stories from the days of the colonial rule of India - 'Reddy a Tiger Hunters Story', 'Venkama The Child Widow' and ' Chunders-Dass The servant of the Moon'.
