Collected Short Stories Of E. M. Forster

£69.99

Product description

E. M. Forster achieved a world-wide reputation with A Passage To India, and with such novels as A Room With A View. His wonderful stories previously published in two volumes entitled The Celestial Omnibus and The Eternal Moment, are collected in this volume with a specially written introduction by the author.

This green cloth edition is undated but looks to be a 1947 first British edition published by Sidgwick & Jackson. It is complete with its unprice-clipped dustjacket: a rare occurrence. However, the dustjacket is in a relatively poor condition. It is chipped, grubby and torn along all edges but is intact. The cloth covers are fading, particularly at the head and foot of the spine which is gilt-stamped. There is a small ink inscription on the endpaper. Both sets of endpapers bear brown marks. The text is clean and clear, but the binding is cocked and the edges of the page block are slightly foxed and dusty.

Oxfam Bookshop Hexham

We relocated in January 2016 to larger premises and are now able to offer a wider range of books and music (you can come and check out your musical choices in our listening booth and also find out a lot more about Oxfam's work.). We have a new local interest section, more space for history and have extended our craft and arts offer.  We also sell cards, fair trade food and ethical cleaning and beauty products.

Hexham is a market town situated in the beautiful Tyne Valley - the ideal stopping off point before exploring Hadrian's Wall, Chesters, Housesteads and the Temple of Mithras at Carrawburgh.
