Die Schwestern Aus Dem Mohrenland - The Sisters from Moorsland

£4.99

Product description

The novella "The Sisters from Moorsland" is about a student who falls in love with almost identical-looking twin sisters. He is particularly attracted to one of them, Cornele. To organize the chaos in his emotional life, only the escape remains.

Werner Bergengruen's Vita shows major European life stages. From his native Riga, which at that time was under Russian rule, fled to Lübeck, where he attended the same school as 17-year-old Thomas Mann, he studied history and literature in Marburg, Munich and Berlin, participated in the First World War on the German side and worked as a journalist in Memel and Berlin, before he devoted himself entirely to writing. First a translator of the Russian classics, he wrote important historical novels, whose best-known "The Grand Prince and the Court" in National Socialist Germany was understood as a key novel.

VG pages, some edge and D/J wear.
