La marrana negra de la literatura rosa

£4.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

Collection of short stories by Mexican author in the original Spanish.

Unified by an acidic humor, the stories in this collection function as a mirror of a reality that, at first glance, may seem deformed. An overweight man whose wife puts him on a diet of cocaine so that he loses weight, a teenager with Down syndrome who becomes a star keyboardist in a failed punk band, and a black pig with the airs of a diva who dictates wonderful romance novels to its perturbed owner are some of the characters that inhabit Carlos Velázquezs deranged world. With language that breaks all molds and falls more in line with oral tradition, this book of short stories demonstrates his ability to capture the upheaval of order in everyday life.

Previous owner's name on title page, otherwise a clean unmarked copy.

Oxfam Bookshop St Albans

Oxfam is the UK's largest second hand bookseller, but it doesn't stop there. We sell a great range of donated music as well. Whether it's vintage LPs or the latest modern fiction you want, we're well worth a look! We also sell greetings cards for every occasion. And of course we have some great stock for sale on Oxfam's Online Shop, too. Call us to find out more.

Could you help us by collecting donations from donors homes? Our shop receives many offers of generous donations that we have to turn down as we do not have volunteers able to collect. We would ask you to collect in your own car, at your convenience and reimburse your petrol costs. It might be a couple of times a month and would make a really big difference to our ability to make money.
