The book is in very good condition. The binding is sound and tight. Small closed tear on dust jacket. Internally, the black of the boards has rubbed off on the bottom of the jacket. Similarly, the red of the endpapers has marked page 256.

“The classic love story of Persian literature”, Layla and Majnun is a narrative poem composed in 584/1188 by the Persian poet Neẓāmi Ganjavi based on a semi-historical Arab story about the 7th century Bedouin poet Qays ibn Al-Mulawwah and his ladylove Layla bint Mahdi (or Layla al-Aamiriya).
