Northanger Abbey

£7.99

Product description

A novel written by Jane Austen, and in fact her first work for publish (although it was not released until after her death). A parody of Gothic fiction, where the main character, on a journey of self-discovery, imagines the world like it is in her favourite Gothic novels, where it is, in fact, not. This edition is from the Works of Jane Austen series, and features illustrations by Maximilien Vox.

This book is in overall good condition. It has suffered only minimal shelf wear and darkening to the spine. Otherwise the cover is unblemished, but it is missing its dust jacket. The internal pages are also for the most part clean and strong. However, there are a few places where the binding is exposed, and these pages have a little foxing near the spine. However, this foxing does not obscure the text, meaning that this does not diminish the readability of the text.
