'These stories were originally issued in a volume under the title "Tales of Woman's Trials." In order to give the Tales a wider circulation, the Publishers have subdivided the original work, and appended to the respective Books distinct titles.' Contents : Daily Governess; The Curse Of Property; Lost Beauty; The Wisdom Of Forethought; The Mother; The Young Person; "Bear And Forbear.

Book - in Very Good bright brown boards with gilt lettering and pictorial front board and spine - light marking to the boards, a touch rubbed to the extreme corners and light bumping to the extreme ends of the spine. Foxing to end papers. No inscriptions.
