The House Called Hadlows

£19.99

Product description

Sebastian and Melissa would never forget their arrival at the house called Hadlows. The long drive through the neglected park and woodland, the lake glimpsed through the trees, then the massive house, with its 'thousand windows' looking down on them, the half-open front door and the great hall, empty but for the pale-faced portraits covering the walls. Hadlows held a secret, of that they were sure, in spite of the warm welcome they were given by Uncle Bertram and Aunt Augusta. It was Fandeagle who told them the story of Hadlows and who entrusted them with the task of returning to him the four lost elements of the Elixir of Life so that the house would be released from the curse of the Evil One. Their quest took them to the Underworld, to the world of the Gods of classical mythology, into the English past and through the seasons. The dangers were great and the Evil One a formidable opponent, but Melissa and Sebastian had Fandeagle on their side and the strength of Mantari behind them when they were most in need.
