Baudry's European Library, Paris 1834. First edition thus.
Plain green cloth, embossed with pattern, front cover separate with title page & end paper stuck together; pasted on Lennox-Boyd bookplate + 'Description of a View of THE RUINS of the CITY OF POMPEII and the Surrounding Country, now exhibiting at the PANORAMA, LEICESTER SQUARE' single page all but complete with details of that view and numbers identifying Temple of Jupiter etc on it, folded into 8 to fit front of book.
Spine half present, attached to separate front, revealing sound binding on the remainder.
Dedication from the Author to Sir William Gell etc etc dated September 21st 1834, Leamington. unnumbered pages; Preface pp i - viii, followed by The L D of Pompeii, concluding p 412, then one p of Errata (only 2), then, pasted in, as at the front, what I assume to be, the full guide to the 'description of a View......'
16 numbered pages, title p giving 'Printed by Geo. Nichols, Earl's Court, Leicester Square 1849' and 'Painted by the Proprietor Robert Burford, assisted by HC Selous'.

Welcome to Oxfam Books And Music Olney, situated just off the market square in Stanley Court opposite the Co-op. Come and browse our extensive selection of books, music, DVDs, computer games and cards. In our shop you can discover a great range of material from the latest modern fiction to classic literature and vintage LPs. We are always happy to receive your donations of books or music, and you can choose to Gift Aid them to Oxfam. We might also be able to collect particularly large donations - just ask. We are always interested in hearing from people who wish to volunteer with us. Just pop in to collect an application form.

Could you help us by collecting donations from donors homes? Our shop receives many offers of generous donations that we have to turn down as we do not have volunteers able to collect. We would ask you to collect in your own car, at your convenience and reimburse your petrol costs. It might be a couple of times a month and would make a really big difference to our ability to make money.
