Product description

This book is a first edition that was published in 1957 by Victor Gollancz Ltd and has it's dust jacket. The dust jacket is yellow with purple and black text. There is some spotting to the front and back of the dust jacket, along with some discolouration to the spine. There are various nicks, rips and small tears to the edges and a hole (Approximately 40mm wide) to the centre of the spine of the dust jacket. The boards are red with impressed text in gold on the spine. The corners of the boards and top and bottom of the spine have been bumped. There is some discolouration to the top of the spine and a rip in the cloth binding on the spine, this corresponds with the hole in the dust jacket although is is only 10mm approximately across. Overall the boards are clean with some light wear from use. The edges of the pages are discoloured and have some spotting to them. There is some spotting/ foxing to various pages throughout the book, however this does not effect the clarity of the text. A few of the pages have folds to the top corner these are pages 259- 266 and 357- 360. The pages are bright with clear text without any rips or tears. The hinge is strong.
