'Here then are three plays, one never produced. At the back, I have included two pieces which might be of some interest: one if the preface to the original edition of Visit to a Small Planet. The other is an essay on the theatre first published in Partisan Review in 1959; it is called Love, Love, Love, and there was a movement at the time to lynch its author.'
The front board contains some light scuff marks, a tiny bit of rubbing, and minimal bumping in the bottom corner. The rear board also contains some light scuffing and a stain near the bottom. The spine has been sunned, and has been bumped at both ends. The text on the spine has faded slightly. The top, fore, and bottom edges contain foxing. Foxing is also present on the front and rear free endpapers and bleeds through to the other pages slightly. Otherwise, the text block is in good condition. The three plays are "Visit to a Small Planet", "On the March to the Sea", and "The Best Man".
