Colour illustrated frontispiece, showing The Oyster Luncheon by de Troy.

Illustrated with an additional three coloured reproductions of artwork and numerous black-and-white cartoons and line drawings from across time, including Ronald Searle.

Illustrated boards, with a pink coloured background, with black coloured titles to the back strip with the continuation of the front illustration on the rear panel - a wedding breakfast.

CONDITION: Dust Jacket has tearing to top and bottom and has two short strips of sellotape to inside cover with minor scuffs and bumps. Boards are clean and bright as well as pages inside with only moderate browning to the page edges. (See photos for details.)
