FATorexia - what do you see when you look in the mirror?

£14.99

Product description

When we look in the mirror, many of us think we could loose a few pounds here or there.

But very few will think they're too thin - when everyone else can see that they're not.

Well that's exactly what happened to successful business woman Sara Bird.

The weight-gain first started for Sara when she first left home at the age of twenty, but it was her success as a business woman that had made her deny what was really happening. She had control over her business life, but not over her weight.

Living with Fatorexia

It was a visit to her GP that eventually made Sara aware of her condition, he had told her that she was obese, it made her realise that what she saw in the mirror wasn't what others were seeing.

"When I looked in the mirror I saw a confident, thin person, when in actual fact I was obese," says Sara. The GP's assessment left no room for doubt: "It was horrific! How could anyone tell me I was fat? I would have known if I was. But therein lies the problem - I had convinced myself that I was slim and in control, when in fact I was clearly the opposite."

Complete with dust jacket which is in good condition as are the boards & binding; pages are clean and legible.
