Product description

"A family guide to the preservation of health and to the domestic treatment of ailments and disease, with chapters on food and drugs and first aid in accidents and injuries. Illustrated by about 400 figures in the text and a series of engraved plates." Bound in burgundy cloth and quarter-leather. The volume is undated but is very early twentieth century (1900? 1902?).

Condition: The covers are very worn. The cloth covering is torn in four places, the edges and corners are partially bumped through to the boards and the spine is rubbed. The binding is sound. The front pastedown and the following three pages are covered with medical notes, including a sheet that has been stapled in. Some foxing throughout. Apart from the medical notes the textblock is free of annotations etc
