A History of Everyday Things in England

£79.99

Product description

A History of Everyday Things in England (complete in 4 volumes WITH DJs)

Written and illustrated by Marjorie and CHB Quennell

Batsford, London 1938-1942

A history of life in England from 1066 to 1942, complete in four volumes. Highly readable with a conversational style - reading it feels like you are being shown around by a guide.

Rare to find this with the dust jackets.

Dust jackets - present albeit nicked and with some tears and wear, but retaining their integrity. The purple colour is still bright.

Internals - protected by the dust jackets, the internals are in very good condition. Slight bumping to the extremities where exposed and some marks and possible foxing to the edges. Some foxing to the outer margins of some of the pages of volume 4. Otherwise no apparent faults.

Most of the second-hand items you see online have been donated, by supporters like you, to our high street stores. Each item is then priced, photographed and listed on this site by our amazing team of volunteers from across the country.

After you have bought your item, our team of volunteers package and dispatch it from the Shop straight to you or your chosen recipient.

All profits from the sales of our goods go towards funding Oxfam's work around the world. We rely on your donations to sell online so please keep the cycle of goodness going!
