Bradshaw’s July 1938 Railway Guide

£35.00

Product description

This is a reprint of the 1938 edition and gives a snapshot of the railway network as it was before the outbreak of war – and long before Beeching had even been thought about. As the publisher states “Thousands of villages still have their dozen or score of daily trains, and many of them services on Sunday as well”.

David and Charles paperback. There is marked bleaching of the spine and some creasing and wear of the covers. The spine has been pushed inwards which has resulted in the pages being pushed outwards. Some minor foxing to page edges, but text clean. Extensive commercial advertisements and a fold out map at the rear with a tear and some sellotape restitution of one of the folds.
