A very nice signed copy of this 1993 work charting the history of No. 99 squadron of the Royal Air Force, from 197 to 1976. Written with the support of squadron association members, the author has collected individual stories to capture the flavour of past eras and events, such as the early days of the air force during the First World War, the bomber attacks of 1939-42 and the Berlin Airlift of 1948-49. The author was recruited into the squadron at the outset of the second world war, and continued a distinguished career in the years after the war.In good condition, there is one medium tear to the top of the dust jacket. The book has been signed by the author with an inscription.
