Product description

This book is marred by having pencil annotations against each chapter on the index page and a few pages with pencil notes and a further few with blue Biro markings neither of which actually interfere with its readability . The remainder of the book is in first class condition and without the above could be considered used very good/used fine. Hard cover is undamaged but obviously has a sticky label on the front .

Scholars here employ the latest tools of historical analysis, literary criticism, and feminist inquiry to reveal why veterans of her military campaigns found her to have been a remarkable Commander and why so many of her contemporaries and near-contemporaries, churchman and poets alike, found it possible to accept the validity of her mission and her voices.
