The author, Stanford Jay Shaw (1930 – 2006) was an American historian, Professor of Turkish History at UCLA & Bilkent University, Ankara when these volumes were published. He is best known for his works on the late Ottoman Empire, Turkish Jews, and the early Turkish Republic. His works have been criticised by some scholars for containing errors, and he is considered an apologist for the Armenian genocide.
In very good condition throughout. Fresh and clean with tight bindings. The spines are a little faded.
